Easy Brie Tartlet Appetizer
Whether you’re busy with all of the joys of the holiday season or heading to a party in July, you need something quick and delicious to share with your family and friends. These brie tartlets are the perfect appetizer. They’re easy to make and a crowd favorite. You can modify these using whatever you have on hand. With Doublin’ Down brie-style cheese as the base, you can make these into an elegant appetizer platter in under 10 minutes!
Easy Brie Tartlet Appetizer
INGREDIENTS
- 2 packs Frozen mini phyllo pastry cups
- Armagh Creamery Doublin’ Down Brie-Style Cheese
SUGGESTED TOPPINGS:
- Pears, thinly sliced
- Fresh thyme sprigs
- Honey (to drizzle)
- Pecan halves
- Kosher salt
- Pepper jelly
- Cherry (or other berry jam)
- Fresh berries (cherry, raspberry, cranberry, or blackberry work great!)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Here are a few of our favorite variations, but have fun with your own spin on these little delights!
PEAR HONEY THYME
- Brie wedge
- Pear slices
- Pinch of fresh Thyme
- Honey
- (alternatively, sprinkle pears with cinnamon, nutmeg and thyme. Drizzle w/ maple syrup)
SALTED PECAN
- Pecan halves
- Kosher salt
- Honey
- Place one pecan half in each cup and sprinkle it with kosher salt and drizzle with honey.
PEPPER JELLY
- Brie wedge
- 1/4tsp pepper jelly
DRUNK CHERRY JELLY
- Brie wedge
- ¼ teaspoon/dollop of cherry jelly (we recommend Round Rock Jelly’s Drunk Cherry Jam)
- Cherry halved (fresh or frozen*) *If using frozen warm on the stove with a little sugar water until defrosted. Pat dry to avoid extra juice
